Publication Ethics

The Journal of Digital Innovation and Informatics (JIDI) is committed to maintaining the integrity, quality, and credibility of scholarly publishing. All publication processes adhere to internationally recognized publication ethics standards, including the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). These principles apply to authors, editors, and reviewers.

Author Responsibilities

Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by another journal. Research data and findings must be presented honestly, accurately, and objectively without any form of manipulation. All sources must be properly cited in accordance with academic standards.

All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research must be listed as authors. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript. Authors are also required to disclose any conflicts of interest that may influence the research results and must ensure compliance with ethical approvals if the research involves human or animal subjects.

Editor Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for determining the suitability of manuscripts for publication based on their academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope. Editorial decisions must be made objectively and without discrimination.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and ensure that the peer review process is conducted fairly, transparently, and in a timely manner. In cases of suspected ethical violations, editors have the authority to take appropriate actions, including rejection of the manuscript or retraction of published articles.

Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers assist editors in evaluating the scientific quality of manuscripts. Reviews should be conducted objectively, constructively, and in a timely manner.

Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript, avoid conflicts of interest, and report any suspected ethical issues such as plagiarism or duplicate publication to the editor.

Plagiarism Policy

JIDI does not tolerate any form of plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software prior to the review process.

The acceptable similarity index is a maximum of 25%, provided that there is no substantial similarity in the core sections (results and discussion). Manuscripts exceeding this threshold or containing significant plagiarism will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

Conflict of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process must disclose any conflicts of interest, whether financial or non-financial, that may affect the objectivity of the research, review process, or editorial decisions.

Publication Decision

The final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of a manuscript lies with the editor, based on the results of the peer review process and the manuscript’s compliance with the journal’s policies and scope.

Retraction Policy

Published articles may be retracted if ethical violations are identified, such as plagiarism, data fabrication or manipulation, or significant errors that affect the validity of the research findings.

Open Access Policy

JIDI implements an open access policy, allowing all published articles to be freely accessed by the public without any subscription or payment. This policy aims to support the broad dissemination of knowledge and enhance the accessibility of scholarly research.
